Back to All News
cop26

COP26 has come to a close. Leaders from around the world attended in Glasgow and virtually to discuss how to ramp up climate action globally. We know to reach a global 1.5°C goal, we need climate action from every sector—and importantly from every actor. In short, we all need to step up and do our part.

The Center for Global Sustainability (CGS) had a delegation and participants on the ground to discuss how to do this, specifically through conversation on the international global stocktake, sustainable finance opportunities, how to achieve a global coal phaseout, and what non-state actors can do to accelerate emissions reductions.

CGS participants at the COP include:

  • Leon Clarke, Acting Director
  • Shannon Kennedy, Senior Manager of Strategic Engagement
  • Amber Leonard, Program Manager
  • Irving Mintzer, Director, Initiative on Closing the Investment Gap in Sustainable Finance
  • Brice Casey, PhD Candidate
  • Kowan O'Keefe, PhD Candidate

Many of the CGS events were recorded. View the discussions below.
