CGS co-hosted the event, “Fulfilling America’s Pledge: A Dialogue on Subnational Climate Action in the US and Beyond,” with World Resource Institute and the Rocky Mountain Institute. You can view the recorded event here!

Director Nate Hultman opened the discussion with a presentation on the implications of the report, “Fulfilling America’s Pledge: How States, Cities and Businesses are Leading the United States to a Low-Carbon Future.” Following, Hultman led an armchair conversation with Todd Stern, Senior Fellow at WRI, and Rachel McCormick, Head, Energy and Environment at the Embassy of Canada on the role of subnational action as the world attempts to reach its Paris goals.

Closing the event was an expert panel subnational acton in the US, including: Carla Frisch, Principal at Rocky Mountain Institute; Kristin Igusky, Senior Associate at US Climate Alliance; Brendan Shane, Regional Director at C40 Cities; and Ashley Allen, Senior Manager for Climate and Land at Mars Incorporated.
