At this event CGS Associate Research Scholar Steven J. Smith will highlight various GCAM tools that may benefit CGS research, detailing their data inputs and outputs, as well as several recent and ongoing enhancements.

Abstract: Most at CGS are likely familiar with GCAM. In this presentation I will provide an overview of a number of other tools that are part of the wider "GCAM ecosystem" (and perhaps beyond!). The scope of these tools ranges across water supply, agricultural yields, global and regional climate changes, land-use and land-cover, energy expenditures, jobs, and more. These open source tools include those that generate input data for GCAM to those that downscale or post-process GCAM output data. This talk will provide an overview of these various tools that might be potentially useful (or their data inputs/outputs) for CGS research. A number of recent or ongoing GCAM improvements will also be presented.
