As a first step toward understanding the roles cities can play under different state policy contexts, this database details more than 1,400 climate and energy policies and programs enacted by U.S. cities, the actions taken by cities to improve health, reduce emissions, and increase energy efficiency and affordability across the buildings, transportation, and electricity sectors, among others.
