This presentation will explore climate finance and sustainable investing mechanisms to close the protection gap and boost climate resilience in the World's poor and vulnerable regions.
About the speaker: Andrew Eil focuses on the intersection of international development, public policy, climate finance, and sustainable investing. Andrew holds a certificate in sustainable finance from Columbia University, an MPA from Princeton University, and a BA from Harvard University. Andrew has also recently developed strategies on sustainable cooling and an assessment on climate-related insurance products; conducted national assessments for promoting investment in resilience; and supported financial institutions to mainstream climate risk considerations into strategy and operations. Andrew’s recent publications include contributing to the report “Driving Finance Today for the Climate Resilient Society of Tomorrow” (2019) for UNEP-FI and the Global Commission on Adaptation, the paper “Scenario Analysis for Systemic Climate Risk” (2019) together with Ortec Finance, and the “Discussion Paper: Architecture & Financing Models for Efficient Cooling Alongside the Montreal Protocol” with NRDC for ClimateWorks Foundation (2019).
